Viterbit is a Spanish recruitment platform (a “Hiring OS”) that helps companies with high-volume hiring needs, select and hire talent using artificial intelligence.

Founded in Madrid in 2021 by Dimitri Nicolau (CEO), Ariel Gutiérrez and Marcos Gómez, and with clients including FoodBox, Ibermutua and Logisfashion, the company has become one of Spain’s leading recruitment solutions.

In July 2026, InfoJobs announced the acquisition of Viterbit to accelerate its push into AI-driven recruitment, with all three founders remaining at the helm.

— 01  ·  STARTING POINT

A recruitment platform growing fast without numbers it could trust

When we began working with Viterbit in May 2025, the company hadn’t raised any funding since its October 2022 round, growing on its own cash generation with a single person handling finance internally, a junior profile responsible for coordinating with the outsourced accounting firm, managing payments and issuing invoices.

The business kept growing regardless. Viterbit was expanding into Mexico, the team was growing, the company had started consuming cash, and revenue was already meaningful.

That’s when they decided to professionalize the finance function and started working with The Startup CFO.

— 02  ·  WHAT WE DID

A fractional CFO that put the numbers in order, with the next step always in mind

At The Startup CFO, we took on the role of Viterbit’s fractional CFO, with one clear goal: give the company real visibility over its numbers and accounts it could trust, for a day-to-day decisions and for whatever came next.

Reporting and visibility from scratch

We rebuilt 2024 and H1 2025 reporting and built the first forecast that let the founders see their business in numbers.

Audit and accounting clean-up

We found the company wasn’t applying revenue deferral, fixed the accounts and led Viterbit’s first-ever audited fiscal year.

Day-to-day financial operations

We structured invoicing into cycles, built a collections process with defined cadences, and streamlined reporting communication.

— 03  · FROM DUE DILIGENCE TO THE DEAL

When financial order opens the door to the best possible deal

With clean, audited numbers in place, potential buyers began approaching Viterbit. We prepared the data room and led the entire financial and tax due diligence, an advantage of The Startup CFO handling both the CFO and accounting/tax side of Viterbit, giving us full control over operations and documentation.

Beyond the paperwork, we actively advised on the deal itself: negotiating the working capital adjustments affecting the price, the terms of the SPA, and the conditions for the founders. In July 2026, InfoJobs announced the acquisition of Viterbit to accelerate its push into AI-driven recruitment, with all three founders remaining at the helm.

— 04  ·  RESULTS

A completed audit, a well-negotiated deal, and an executed sale

First audit

2025, with all the accounting and tax adjustments.

Financial visibility

Recurring monthly reporting and reliable numbers.

InfoJobs

Viterbit keeping its brand, product and team.

Since we started working together, we took Viterbit from having no financial visibility at all to running reliable monthly reporting and, in 2025, completing its first audit.

What defines this case, though, is that The Startup CFO handled both the CFO and the accounting/tax side of Viterbit. That combination gave us full control over operations and documentation, and proved decisive when it came time to move through due diligence without last-minute pressure.

This case shows that the least visible financial work is exactly what makes the difference when the big moment arrives. For founders without a financial background, having a partner keep the numbers in order doesn’t just bring peace of mind: it’s what lets you negotiate a sale from a position of strength.
