— 01 · STARTING POINT
Moving from accounting data to a strategic financial view
When we started working with Flanks, the challenge was to move beyond traditional accounting reporting and build a real financial view of the business.
The company needed to understand its KPIs, revenue evolution and growth drivers with precision. This was not just about defining metrics, but about structuring, validating and turning them into a useful tool for the management team.
In a context of growth and future funding rounds, it was also essential to build solid reporting to communicate with investors with clarity, consistency and credibility.
— 02 · WHAT WE DID
A financial model as the backbone of the business
At The Startup CFO, we worked alongside Flanks’ finance team to develop an integrated financial model, designed not only for reporting but also for better business management.
The model was integrated into budget control by area, allowing the management team to track internal performance, analyze deviations and make decisions with greater visibility.
As the company evolved, the level of detail also increased. We worked on the origin and quality of KPIs, monthly validation of revenue and contracts, and the breakdown of MRR by new clients, expansion and churn.

— 03 · FUNDING
ENISA funding to support growth
In parallel with the CFO work, we supported Flanks throughout the ENISA funding process, coordinating the work between the funding team, the CFO team and the company’s internal team.
The prior preparation, quality of financial information and fluent communication between teams made it possible to structure the process efficiently and secure €1M in ENISA funding in 2026.
